This mantra rings true for me. It is the idea that led me to understand mindfulness as a necessary tool to a sustainable healthy lifestyle, to pursue graduate level training in public health and to study neuroscience, psychology, and coaching, and to begin my meditation practice 6 years ago. As my understanding of mindfulness evolved, so did my passion. I learned that we spend so much time undoing behaviors developed in childhood that could have been helped or prevented if children were given the tools to take care of their own mental health. My own experience with adolescent stress and anxiety fuels my drive to make these tools accessible earlier in life. After directing my training to children's mindfulness in 2018, I opened Mindful Minis with a heart full of passion to educate youth on healthy thoughts, behavior patterns and stress-reduction tools rooted in mindfulness.
I believe at my core that mindfulness and a holistic approach to wellness are the keys to a sustainable and fulfilling lifestyle. My unique scientific and holistic approach allows me to help children strengthen self-awareness and resilience, while fostering imagination and creativity within the fun and friendly container of Mindful Minis. It has been an absolute joy to cultivate a mentally resilient younger generation by working with children and families on tools and strategies to support their mental and emotional wellbeing.
